Cleaning the vests shouldn’t need to be done too often since the foam has antibacterial properties and the leather is sealed. However the rubber parts on the vest sometimes need to be cleaned.
Equipment Required:
- A soft to medium bristled dishbrush
- Dishwashing liquid
- Small towel
- Medium-large sized towel
- Bucket or large Bowl
- Chair
Step 1: Prepare the container with warm water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid. Swish the brush to make it soapy.
Step 2: Place a towel over the back of the chair. Then place the vest over the towel.
Step 3: Dip the brush into the soapy water and apply it to the area to be cleaned
Step 4: After a few minutes, dip the brush into the water again and then scrub the areas away from the middle of the vest to prevent the spray getting onto clean areas.
(Tip: Use the large towel to clean up any spills onto the leather or other non rubber parts of the vest)
Step 5: Use a small towel to wipe the water off the vest.
Leave the vest in a well ventilated room out of direct sunlight for 2 hours or until it is dry.
