Evolution – Setting a Node Number

Node numbers are used by the server to tell equipment apart when they report in data packets to the server. Each piece of equipment in a system must have a unique node number or you will have conflicts in data sent to the server.

Symptoms of conflicting nodes include:

two phasers not scoring points when tagging other phases.

remotes not always able to send commands to setup games.

Acc’s and VBS not loading the correct configs durnin games.

Changing a node can be done 2 ways:

Method 1: Via software (safe and fastest option)

***Youtube video missing***

Method 2: Via Bootloader.

Using this method be careful as you can set the node to the node of another phaser, or potentially change other settings in the bootloader

Put Phaser into bootloader

Pull trigger unit you have NOD:XXX selected

using buttons 1 and 2 you can increase and decrease this number to match the IP address of this phaser.

Once node number is correct pull the trigger to save the settings.

Power off and on the phaser, and check the phasers node and number connect to the game server.
