Evolution – Phaser vibrator not working

Problem Overview

Every Phaser has a vibrating motor that provides “tactile feedback” when a player is tagged. This guide will walk you through the steps to repair a phaser that no longer vibrates when tagged.

1. Check the cable

Open Phaser case and check that the cable between the Vibration Module and the Phaser Mainboard Circuit is firmly plugged in and undamaged.

2. Check the Vibration Module for obstructions

Make sure there are no cables or other components are covering or tangled around the Vibration Module.

3. Make sure that the Vibration Modules head spins freely

If not, loosen the Clamp holding the vibration module to the metal plate slightly.

4. Unplug the Vibration Module and test with a Vibration Module from a working  Phaser

If this solves the problem replace old Vibration module with a new one.

5. If the problem persists replace the Phaser Mainboard Circuit

Remember to reassign the Phaser’s node name and node number after replacing the mainboard.

Phaser will need firmware and commands
