Problem Overview
The Optical Emitter Circuit contains an LED that simulates a muzzle flash when the Phaser is fired. If there is no flash when the Phaser is fired, follow these steps.
1. Check the Optics cable
Open Phaser case and check that the cable between the Optical Emitter Circuit and the Phaser Mainboard Circuit is firmly connected and undamaged.
2. Remove the Optical Emitter Circuit and test with an Optical Emitter Circuit from a working Phaser
If Phaser now flashes when firing, replace the old Optical Emitter Circuit with a new one.
3. If problem persists replace the Phaser Mainboard Circuit
Be sure to reassign the Phaser’s node name, node number, upload firmware and send commands after replacing the mainboard.
